eBay is one of the most trusted marketplaces in the world, and linking your store to your Rommie site profile helps verify your seller identity, boost credibility, and drive direct traffic to your storefront.

Whether you’re a niche vendor, independent brand, collector, or reseller — eBay helps you reach a global audience. When tied to a Rommie listing, your online presence gains authority and legitimacy, especially when backed by an actual website you control.

🔗 How to Add Your eBay Store to Rommie

You don’t attach eBay to your general Rommie profile. Instead, it’s linked to your verified website listing — here’s how to do it:

✅ Claiming a New Site

If you don’t have a site listed on Rommie yet:

  1. Click “Claim Site” from the top menu

  2. Enter your full website domain or subdomain (e.g. yourshop.y2z.eu)

  3. Fill out the basic details — title, language, category, and region

  4. Scroll to the “Online Stores & Commerce” section

  5. Paste your eBay Store URL (e.g. //www.ebay.com/str/yourstorename)

  6. Copy your unique Rommie badge code

  7. Paste it into your site’s footer or sidebar so it loads on every page

  8. Once the badge is detected, your site is automatically verified and your eBay Store will appear on your listing

📝 Editing an Existing Site

Already have a site listed on Rommie?

  1. Go to Dashboard → Your Sites

  2. Click “Edit” next to your claimed site

  3. Scroll to the “Online Stores & Commerce” section

  4. Add your eBay Store URL

  5. Save your changes

That’s it — your store is now live on your Rommie listing.

🌐 No Website Yet? Start Free
To use Rommie’s profile linking, you need a real site you control. That means your own domain, or a free premium subdomain from one of our trusted providers. These are ideal for creatives who don’t yet have a personal site:

These domains aren’t always hosted in the country they reflect — they’re designed to help you theme your presence for a specific audience.

Use your free site to:

  • Build a link hub or “about me” page

  • Post booking details, contact, or testimonials

  • Connect social media and creative platforms

  • Showcase tear sheets or BTS (keep it safe-for-work)

⚠️ We strongly recommend keeping your website safe-for-work.
Even if your PurplePort features art nude, glamour, or adult-friendly themes, it’s best to avoid nudity or explicit content directly on your own website. Many free and paid hosts restrict this, and international age-verification laws (like the UK’s or EU’s Digital Services Act) can place serious legal responsibility on you as the site owner.

Keep your homepage professional — use it as a central access point, and let trusted platforms like PurplePort handle the actual content display. It’s safer, faster, and keeps your domain in good standing.

💡 Why Add eBay to Your Rommie Listing?

Adding your eBay Store helps:

  • Confirm you’re a real seller with a connected business

  • 📈 Increase your listing’s trust score within Rommie

  • 🔗 Expand your discoverability by linking external identities

  • 🛍️ Drive direct traffic from people browsing Rommie to your eBay storefront

  • 📂 Establish brand cohesion, especially if you’re also on Etsy, Amazon, or your own site

Rommie doesn’t scan individual eBay pages — but the presence of a linked, verified store increases the authority and completeness of your profile.

✅ Ideal For:

  • Resellers and merchants using eBay as their main storefront

  • Collectors, traders, and vintage sellers building credibility

  • Creators who also sell merch or kits via eBay

  • Drop shippers, refurbishers, and ecommerce newcomers
